Art in Chinese Characters
Each of the following art is inspired by a Chinese character. I am inspired to work on this project in hopes of showcasing the beauty within the characters and hopefully reignite others' interest in learning Chinese.

I base most of my art from the Chinese characters of the Qin dynasty (篆体)which is shown in the middle of the grid. The far right is a demonstration of how my art align with the simplified Chinese characters used in Mainland China today.
This art is based off the “采” Chinese character which means pick. So naturally, the art included both the meaning of the character -- the hand picking motion -- and the appearance of the character itself.
For this piece of art, I based it loosely on the evolution of the character “去". The "土“ should technically represent a person, but I rendered it into a person crossing two rivers in order for the depth of perception to be realistic. I conveyed the meaning of "去", which means to leave, by the departure of the girl on the horse. I have also added some elements of the Mongolian culture to explore my own ethnicity.

I will be continuously adding new artwork to this project. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
